Gimme A Break, gimme a break, break me off a piece of that Kit Kat Bar! Gotta love the Kit Kat jingle, never seems to go out of style. Anyway...so I posted earlier, when I made chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes that I was new to "stuffing" my baking. Well, I decided to give it another go, since the first time was so successful, and try it with chocolate chip cookies. There might be a theme here...I may like chocolate chip items...Well, I also like Kit Kat bars and combining them together seemed to make sense. I came across the chocolate chip cookie recipe from Becky Bakes and then picked me up some Kit Kat bite sized pieces. The two came together seamlessly and are really yummy!
Here is the chocolate chip cookie recipe:
1 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups chocolate chips
1 bag of Kit Kat bite sized pieces
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream the butter and sugars in a mixer until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl mix flour, salt and baking powder with chocolate chips. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet mixture until just combined.
Take a tablespoon of batter, make a divot in the center and place two Kit Kat pieces in the middle. Take another tablespoon of batter and sandwich that one on top. Make sure edges are sealed.
Bake for about 13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on rack. Enjoy! Makes about 24 HUGE cookies.
Wear elastic pants for this special treat as it is guaranteed to expand your waistband! Have a great day of baking and indulging!
