Frozen Banana Bites

This is a little treat that I literally whipped up one night about 15 minutes before turning in to bed. I had 5 bananas that were going south on the counter and a freezer who really didn't want to house any more bananas for a future banana bread so I checked with Pinterest and knew I had seen something that I just had to try.

I modified the recipe to suit what I had on hand and this is what I came up with...

frozen banana bites.
yield about 25 banana bites

Ingredients:
5 ripe bananas, cut into big bite sized pieces
6 squares baker's chocolate, semi-sweet
Splash of milk
Sprinkles

Directions:
Cut up your bananas into about 5 pieces per banana. Meanwhile, microwave 3 squares of baker's chocolate with a splash of milk on high heat for about 1 minute. Stir chocolate until completely melted. Drop a few banana pieces into the chocolate mixture and turn to coat. Take out and place on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Sprinkle with desired candy (sprinkles, coconut, etc.). Finish the last batch the same as the first.
I found that working in two batches was easier for me, since the chocolate cools pretty quickly.
Lastly, freeze the banana bites for about 2 hours or overnight.
Then enjoy!

from this...

to mmm mmm good!
Have a great day of creating!
