FINALLY, we had some sun. Short as it was, I was able to set up my backyard. I hauled out my umbrella stand, that weighs just enough that I thought I had injured myself. And all the other outdoorsy rickrack that I just can't seem to live without. And of course, I had a can of spray paint on hand to freshen it all up! I first tackled the umbrella stand that has always, for some strange reason, been green when everything else is black. Huh. I gave that a healthy dose of glossy black paint.
Then I moved onto a terracotta pot my neighbor had given me years ago. I thought it might look better black...and it does!
Then I rounded out the day by setting up my outdoor cushions. They have a black piping that is FAR from black now so I thought about what I could do to revamp them. I could just go out and buy more cushions, but that would cost a whole lot of money, that we don't have, or I could recover them, but I don't really know how to sew. So that left one last option for me. I ran inside grabbed a Jiffy Marker and went to work coloring the once black, black.
And there you have it, all that work, just in time for the rain.
Happy creating and re-purposing!
