I love sea shells. I love the shape, color, and texture of them. So much so that I decided to hang a few good ones on my walls. I used a starfish that I bought while on a recent vacation to San Fransisco with my husband, and a few sand dollars that my mom had given to me. I also had some Ikea shadow boxes that would work perfect for my project.
I think the best part for me though was getting to use my brand new glue gun. I am a glue gun virgin, so this was a VERY big deal for me. It's cordless and quick, and I haven't even burned myself...yet.
I placed the starfish in the middle of the frame with a fabric remnant behind the mat, then glued it all into place. Looks really nice and expensive, but really cost very little.
A really quick and easy project that adds new life to my bathroom.
