Ceiling Tile Headboard

We have been looking for a headboard ever since we exchanged our queen-sized bed for a proper king-sized. Unfortunately, all the ones I like are WAY too expensive. So I got to thinking...what if I could create one on the cheap? I am happy to announce, my headboard is not just cheap, but free!

I located a site online that was offering free ceiling tile samples. I ordered 6 different kinds in a crisp white color. When they arrived I arranged them the way I liked and then attached them to the wall with 3M tape.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

I have had many questions as to where the tiles came from, so here it is. I ordered my samples from http://www.ceilume.com. Unfortunately, for all of you who would like to recreate the look, the company is no longer offering free samples...nuts.

  1. I love that!! It looks like something they'd do on 'Designed to Sell' or one of those shows. It's brilliant. And I really love the free part. :)
